Example ground-mounted solar array. This Solar Farm will be much larger

Overview and System Location:

The Fire on the Mountain Community Solar Farm will be located on the property at 57 Tonal Lane in West Bath, ME. The solar array will be installed on the western side of Tonal Lane in an area that is not able to be farmed. The location consists of rocky terrain and is well elevated. The elevation combined with very little tree cover provides a site that is clear of shade throughout the year, resulting in a site with excellent solar potential.

Proposed Array Design for Fire on the Mountain Community Solar Farm

The proposed solar farm has a minimum size of 60 kW and a maximum size of 90 kW. The solar system will consist of between 230 and 344 Q-Cells Series 260 watt polycrystalline solar modules mounted using a Schletter PvMax ballasted ground mounting system. The modules are wired together in a series and parallel configuration and then interconnected to the utility grid through SMA TL grid tied inverters. The array performance will be monitored by SolarLog utility grade meter system which provides access to real time system performance to members, and facilitates the sale of Renewable Energy Credits.

Note 1: all component specifications are preliminary and components may be substituted for the functional equivalents until project final design and contract
